India Women produced a commanding seven-wicket victory over Pakistan after bowling their rivals out for just 55 in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.
India Women delivered a dominant performance against Pakistan in their highly anticipated ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India restricted Pakistan to just 55 runs before completing a comfortable seven-wicket victory in only 8.4 overs. The result strengthened India’s position at the top of Group A and handed Pakistan their first defeat of the tournament.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first, but their innings quickly came under pressure from India’s disciplined bowling attack. Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar provided a cautious start, adding 27 runs for the opening wicket, but Muneeba departed for 13 from 15 balls in the fifth over.
The wickets continued to fall at regular intervals after the early breakthrough. Shawaal was the only other Pakistan batter to reach double figures, scoring 14 from 14 deliveries. Pakistan eventually collapsed to 55 all out in 18.1 overs, recording their lowest total in the tournament.
India’s spin attack was particularly effective. Shree Charani and Prema Rawat claimed three wickets apiece, while Deepti Sharma added two wickets. The bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings and prevented Pakistan from establishing any meaningful partnerships.
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana provided the only significant resistance with the ball. She took all three Indian wickets, finishing with figures of three for 17 from her three overs. However, India had already reduced the target to a very manageable level.
India needed only 8.4 overs to reach 56 and seal victory. Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 18, while Deepti Sharma finished unbeaten on 12. The Indian chase was briefly interrupted by Fatima’s wickets, but the target proved far too small to defend.
The victory gave India their third consecutive win in the tournament after earlier victories over Thailand and Hong Kong. Pakistan, meanwhile, remained in contention for the knockout stages despite the heavy defeat, having opened their campaign with a win over Thailand.
India’s performance once again underlined their status as one of the leading contenders for the Women’s Asia Cup title. Pakistan will now need to regroup quickly and focus on their remaining group-stage fixtures as they attempt to secure a place in the semi-finals.
