Nepal are set to host Bangladesh in a historic three-match T20I series in March 2027. The series will mark the first bilateral meeting between the two men’s teams and will bring Bangladesh to Nepal for its first cricket tour of the country.
The three matches will be played in Kathmandu, with the opening contest scheduled for March 26 at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium. The series will give both teams valuable preparation ahead of the next phase of the international T20 calendar.
Although this will be the first bilateral series between Nepal and Bangladesh, the two teams have previously met twice at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Their meetings came during the 2014 and 2024 editions of the global tournament.
The series also carries a message beyond cricket. Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that the tour will be dedicated to people who lost their lives in recent floods in Nepal.
